The other day while relaxing at home, recovering from the accident..I put "The Thing" in the old vcr...reallly need to find the wide screen version of this puppy...anyways...
The thought, I wondered..what if...the Thing wasn't like a prisoner on the crashed ship.
That because of it's lack of sticking together once it was thawed by the Norwegian scientists, that it was a renegade Thing...because how could a species have achieved the level of technology evidenced by the ship and be that fucking disorganized. Although it did finally suceed in making a little space ship....
hmm...

Or the long freeze really messed up it's brains..or what ever and it could only try to survive as best or as worst it could.
Or it was some speciman that broke loose on the ship and caused the crash...
Anyways I am going stir crazy here and needed to put my scattered thoughts down.

Would it be like waking up from a long long sleep and recognizing nothing, amnesia...? If any rational thought (or what we would term rational thought) could occur from that sort of damage. Well, some parts were capable of building...and round and round I go and that is rational, higher thinking
what type of planet did it derive from? What kind of world would it have had to come from into order to do that.....? Was it just a specimen? From an odd planet or some genetic experiment gone horribly wrong....something that was once rational gone insane?
Some evil scientist whose experiemnts did that to them?
Or some witless soul who was experimented upon?

How are you?
I am stil off of work...because my work could not give me work to do with the restrictions from my doctor.

I was at
walmart...and there i saw and almost bought the computer game..The Thing...if I wasn't so cash hungry right now I would have purchased it...40 bucks though...shesh...Because spending all this time on my back in bed is growing tedious...

dont u remember that the norweigians killed it? it was probably in the middle of morhing (like Parker) when it was torched by the two survivors who went after the last strain (the dog) but they were killed (one by the grande, and one by the Captain of the US team)

It wasn't dead...the Norwegians tried to kil it but the cells were still alive!
And at the end we down't know which of the two survivors were really human....

I want to know where it came from......

Childes was the Thing at the end, according to the video game. They find his body but no Kurt Russell which means he absorbed him. Yeah they killed the thing, but the heat thawed him back to normality.. or anyway the Norweigians thought they killed him anyway.. maybe they hit him on the head with a Tack Hammer, but at any rate they fucked him up and he fell over in the snow, maybe barely alive..

i dont think the dog was really trying to assimilate the other dogs but rather it was trying to shut them up since they were barking. As for the norweigians.. it had a dog assimilated so that it could run faster than humans to escape the other norwegians.. plus a dog is easier to infiltrate and gain symnpathy and a home than a strange man
