|
|
Don't know if anyone has read the original Alien novel by Allen Dean Foster but in it in a failed early attempt to flush the big guy outta the airlock its' arm gets severed in the door, and having amazing regenerative capabilities is fully functional within hours.(The Alien, not the airlock!)
So with that in mind and its' incredible strength and agility I think hand to hand the Alien would win.
However, the Preds have technology on their side and are a naturaly warring species so I think the fight is a fair one.
Also wonder if they have any Alien from predator types in the film? _________________ Hmmmmmmmmm.... |

You pedantic bastard!! O.K so he never said it but at least you know where I'm coming from.
I havent seen an episode for a good few years now and am struggling to come up with some quotes BUT I don't know if you have that Real Player thing but here on Fri' 30 july at 2.15pm on radio 4 the afternoon play is about Stan as he reminisces about their time together as ollie lies prone on his bed felled by a stroke,Tom courtenay reads as stan,by all accounts it's a very moving and delicate insight of their relationship.

Back on topic, I think in hand to hand combat an alien would win.
But an armed predator would surely have a huge advantage.
Way I see it is like an armed hunter against a lion. The hunter has the advantage, but if he's inexperienced, he can still get it. On the other hand, even an exceptionally trained/strong man unarmed wouldn't stand a chance against a lion. |

preds have the skill and the technology, but the aliens have strength, versatility and numbers on there side!, altho we still dont know what spectrum the aliens see in so we dont know yet wether predators cload will be much use when fighting the aliens....
seems like the fight will be evenly balanced, but i favour the preds as they did set the whole situation up so they could "hunt" so its more in there favour looking at the circumstances _________________ That which does not kill us, makes us stronger |

As far as I know aliens don't see at all more they sense,a bit like the critters in Pitch Black, sort of detect changes in air pressure, like the motion trackers do,if you get a chance to read the original Alien novel then there's a bit more detail about it there... _________________ Hmmmmmmmmm.... |
