So I was back in Bristol, where I was born, over the weekend just gone, and it being a city in all has it's own Forbidden Planet shop,so I pay a visit to said establishment and discover they have one of the licenced Alien heads on display, seven hundred and ninety nine pounds was the tag hanging round its neck....
Well,of course I had to have a good look at it see? And I can truly say that you're not missing much,I don't know if it's because I'm used to looking at the one I have made or that it really is not that good, either way I was disappointed and the pics you can see of it actually make it look better...
The finish is a flat dark grey, and is an obvious mould,no attempt at high or low lighting not one teaspoon of clear gloss noticeable anywhere and certainly a rushed job applying the jaw tendons,ok so its got a clear dome and mine doesn't but if I forked out 800 quid for that thing I'd be sending it back etc etc etc
They did however have a nickle plated 1/1 endo skull which was much more impressive for £325 _________________ Hmmmmmmmmm.... |

Yeah, from the pics it didn't look all that great.
I wouldn't dream of paying that ammount of money for it. Actually, I wouldn't buy it unless it was very cheap.
Judging from the pictures it just looks like a glorified rubber mask... |
