Here it is guys,photos don't do it justice as there is more depth to the final finish than is on display here,I now own a full size Alien head and I built it out of rubbish,not bad eh??

I shall name it A big pain in the ass, cuz that's what it was building the fu~@er,but it's done now and I'm happy with the results,I'm already processing ways of how to make a full size pred head,I must be mad

hey Pnzrcop,It's great you think that the dome is vacformed,that means I have achieved what I set to do,actually the dome was created using the good old process of filling and sanding several million times until the desired smoothness was achieved,it could still do with a nother go at it but I'll do that when I got the time,
The translucent effect was acheived by first painting the the brain detail on quite clear then building up layers of increasingly "frostier" tones of clear gloss,this is done untill the detail below appears to be further under the surface than it actually is.
Whilst my model is not as "clean" as manufactured ones being scratch built does give that biomechanical look that later aliens seem to lack.... _________________ Hmmmmmmmmm.... |
