Hey guys.. Rare post by your "out of touch sysadmin". First in a loong time!

Sorry about the downtime, I was on vacation, and my server was having problems. I found the problem, which was my own damned fault (I enabled some webstats and stupidly it was set to run every MINUTE starting at 2am for this + 5 other websites, so the server choked and ran out of memory in a nice snowball effect).

I've fixed this this morning so all should be well. If anyone is curious about webstats on this site, the stats I put up are here:

I know I really don't update anything on this site, but I'm never fond of making any websites go away, no matter what they are. I would however consider making this site user manageable, to add items and edit it, but I'm not sure how to go about that. Also, since http://alienscollection.com/ is always up to date with new merch and such, which I could never keep up with.

So! This site will be around for as long as.. I am!

you should post more falz, its good fun, you obviously interested in aliens or you wouldnt have created the site, drop by some time and do a few posts! bee good to have a nother regulare member on here, what are your other web sites by the way? id like to check them out, and what server do you use to host your sites? how much does it cost to buy, and run?

Well, one of the sites on the same server (my basement!) is http://alexkidd.com, which is a Sega Master System site, my first video game console. It gets a fair amount of activity, mainly because I allow "reviews" of all games that existed, so people can just post something on there and it's usually funny (and vulgar).

The other ones are my personal site, falz.net, which I dont really touch. then there's some pages that just host pictures for friends.

Which is in my basement on my DSL connection. I work at an ISP, so I may move a box over there to have more reliability. But honestly, most of the time the site is down is because of a bad hdd or something (dont worry, all is backed up to dvd frequently).
