Nice drawing man!

I have the HM Alien comic. To be perfectly honest, I was a bit disappointed by it. The size of the alien, the lack of suspense, the coloring...
It seems to me that most graphic novels of movies tend to be poorly done. Uninspired.

Yeah, put 'em up,it's good to see other like minded individuals' sketches an' stuff.,I'll also look an' see if I can find any more stuff,I know somewhere I have a sculpted gigeresque "lump of limbs" and the front half of the alien head I sculpted in clay...

abake, about the graphic novel,I thought it was nice the way the artist and the writer put their own slant on things, like if you do a cover of a song there's no point in making it exactly the same as you may as well just have the original, but hey,I respect your opinion Very Happy

How's that me ol' mucker, fits a bit better now, sorry ,bout that. Embarassed

Very nice sketches, your style is very similar to mine, shame we don't live a bit nearer as we could work on a graphic novel together Smile
The great thing about doing creature designs is that there are very few paramiters to adhere to so anything goes, especially with Giger type stuff.

I worked on a comic once with a friend of mine,it was a homage to all Zombie films,we called it "The evil zombie massacre",it was a tongue in cheek style script with appropriate drawings, the twist was is that it was the living that were the evil ones, the zombies just wanted to get back to hell where they were quite happy thankyou very much but were type cast as evil thanks to the likes of Fulci,Carpenter and all the other zombie film makers,my friend has still got the original somewhere,i'll see if I can get it off him.
I wonder if any ones ever done a graphic novel online,I'm sure they must have as it's quite a good idea, anyway I'm waffling again...

Yeah, I see what you mean, still, I don't think they handled the suspense very well.
And most of the differences from the movie were because they worked with an earlier draft of the script.
There's the scene where they listen to the derelict's transmission, that wasn't used in the theatrical cut and a lot of dialogue that is from the script, but wasn't in the movie, 'cause they improvised a lot.

In which case,I guess, that makes this graphic novel, surely,a one off, maybe it's really rare and worth hundreds, thousands, millions even....
or perhaps like you said it's a pile of shit and no good to man or beast Crying or Very sad ...I still like it though Smile
