Yeah nice models, tell me though, did the AMT come with straighter arms or did you straighten them your self,it looks better than mine and it has inspired me to repaint it,incidently the yellow on my model cannot be seen normally, the flash just picked it out

I suddenly realised after saying about the arms that I myself bent them because I thought the pose looked a bit ape like otherwise,I just got so used to seeing mine that I forgot.
I havent been able to see your extra pics yet as the web page seems to be taking forever to download and all I'm getting is those red x's,
Always good to hear other peoples painting tips so thanks for yours,I use a similar technique to you.
When looking at pictures of the original alien I found that in nearly every pic it was a different colour due to studio lighting etc,so sort of made up the colour scheme and I've never really been happy with it and seeing your one has made me want to repaint it..so thanks..
What did you think of my face hugger by the way,it cost me 30 quid,it's one of those halcyon kits but it was repacked into a jiffy bag with no instructions, but hey for 30 bucks you cant go wrong...

Yeah i can see 'em now, very good Very Happy ,the alien3 looks most impressive lovely paint job i particularly like the effect of the "brain" under the dome, any plans to build any more diaramas?
That face hugger, yeah I did get off the internet but from a website that used to be called Burningserpent.com but it,s now called blackashmodels or some thing like that, they still sell 'em for about £32.00,i guessed it may have been a recast but the detail is still top notch and yes I did the paint job myself and it looks better in reality than it does in the photo, they also sell 1/1 scale chest bursters aswell at that blackashmodel place.
Do you have any more models from Aliens or otherwise? Very Happy

Yeah why not,
and I know what your saying about the models taking over.I have to rotate whats on show as the wife got fed up with all these "horrible monsters" everywhere and my face hugger's in the back of my van!

I'm still in the process of building Slave1 from Empire,I improved on the crappy cockpit area the model came with by adding some fibre optics etc,but i started building that about a year ago and have since built various other models aswell,I'll get round to finishing some day.
I also have a Darth Vader helmet,a Don Post one,not the deluxe one mind you(listen to me I sound like a right geek!)
I have a pretty good C3PO 1/6 scale vinyl that I built and painted and an R2D2 in the waiting, thing is i love making models and just make them on the odd evening when I get back from work, also working on a Dalek,1/5 scale out of balsa wood...
About Laurel&Hardy,I can still laugh just thinking about what they used get up to,can you not get that 21-disc set from Amazon or ebay maybe?,if I see it going for a bargain on my travels I'll let you know and maybe sort something out Smile
