Hello all. Its been a long time since I've posted anything. I must say that it was a blast to see "Alien" on the big screen. Even after seeing it thousands of times at home, seeing it on the big screen was just a completely different expierience. Although I still prefer the original version to the Director's cut ( but thats just me). When I saw "Alien", I also saw the preview for the up and coming AvP movie...is it just me or does it look like it's going to suck? I dont know...will it be entirely CGI? I just have a feeling that it wont be of too good of quality. I think the area of "AvP" should not have been broght into the saga...but again, I'm just one guy. Am I alone on this?

Go take a look at the "Alien vs Predator Trailer" thread. It's going to suck, which is too bad because I was excited about the Alien vs Predator concept. I don't know why they aren't using a screenplay adaptation of Perry's Prey for the AvP movie. That was an interesting story, it didn't ruin the continuity of the other movies, and being a freaking comic book, the damn thing was already storyboarded! The current script is devoid of any delicacy or respect for the material. I have a sneaking suspicion that George Lucas has something to do with it, as his new mission in life seems to be wrecking perfectly good movies and making crappy sequels. Ah well... I'll still wind up seeing AvP. I am just hoping that at least there will be some cool battle sequences. Ack! I can't believe I just said that about an Alien movie. Sad

P.S. Who has a Medicom RAH "Big Chap" Alien that they want to sell to me?

From what I've read, there'll be very little CGI used in the film, apparently the producers will rely heavily on animatronics and costumes.
