THREAD: ? Replacement Bands for 18" ALIEN by Kenner 1979 ?

Does anyone know if there is anyone making replacement bands (to go on
the inside) to repair a "broken off" Arm for the old original ALIEN 18-inch figure made by Kenner?

Or even have any suggestions on how I could fix it?

I just bought one from ebay that was described as Mint in Box (never played with) and when it arrived, it's left arm was broken Off. Must have gotten broke during shipping because this figure was still in the box and still attached to the cardboard with the plastic ties.

You need to talk to Tim Oei. This guy makes replacement fifth spikes and replacement domes for the 1979 18" Kenner Alien. He also restores them. Tim Oei is the ultimate authority on the 1979 Kenner Alien. He knows EVERYTHING about this particular toy. I think he has around 20 of them himself. I talked to him on the phone one time, and he was very knowledgeable and accomodating - a real nice guy. He talked about replacing arms, replacing inner teeth, and tightening tails (among other things). I bought a couple of fifth spikes and a couple of dromes from him too. They are pretty nice recasts, especially the domes. Anyway, you can get his contact information at http://www.alienscollection.com/tim.html. That site will provide his e-mail address, his mailing address, and his phone number. Get in touch with him, and I'm sure he'll help you out. By the way, he is currently working on recasting the inner teeth from real metal. How cool is that? Cool
